Saturday and Sunday, August 30 – 31, from 10 AM – 5 PM Dear Friends, This year marks the 8th Annual
celebration of the Gills Rock ArtFest here at Gallery Ten on Labor Day
Weekend. Dewey and I have decided to do something really special to
“spice it up.” Not only will there be at least 15 working artists
outdoors, doing live demonstrations of their specialty, this year we
wants everyone else to participate in the Art-in-Action movement.
 Do
you remember Dewey’s old yellow Chevy truck? …the one that used to
belong to the Egg Harbor Fire Department? Well, Dewey and I are
painting it all white and we are inviting everyone to help turn it into
a masterpiece! Come, decorate it as you please.
This Labor
Day weekend, tents will once again surround Gallery Ten, filled with
original art for sale. A cadre of our regulars and few new artists will
be coming to Gills Rock to enjoy the festivities and provide
all-day demonstrations. This year's diverse group includes a variety of
plein air painters, potters spinning on the wheel and firing their
works in hot raku ovens, basket weavers, and jewelers.
We
will kick it off on Saturday at 10 AM by letting you join
with our artists in putting your touches on Dewey’s pickup truck. You
are cordially invited and encouraged to join in.
Will he
still dare to drive it afterwards? After all, Norm Knott uses
rhinestones in all of his work and he’s bringing extras along just for
the occasion!
Our 8th Annual Gills Rock ArtFest will also
feature live entertainment by Connor Berhnard and Greg Conrad on
guitars and vocals with Dave Bernhard on flute. There’s a variety of
refreshments and a number of specials in the GT Coffeehouse. It
all takes place at Gallery Ten on Saturday and Sunday, August 30
– 31, from 10 AM – 5 PM. Artists attending:

display through September 18. Charlene's Gallery Ten represents over
100 artists in a gallery collection that is contemporary, original and
eclectic. GT Coffee, complements the gallery, serving espresso drinks,
free wi-fi access and Door County cherry pie by-the-slice.
The
gallery and coffee shop are open Thursday through Monday (closed
Tuesday and Wednesday), from 8 AM to 5 PM at 12625 Hwy. 42 in Gills
