"Soulful Evolution" a collection of spiritual narratives
assembled from a multitude of diverse source materials. opens September 23 with a very special artists' reception
from 5 - 7 PM.
Dear Friends,
While our next show will mark the final in this season's series
of featured artist exhibits, Gallery Ten will not rest for the winter months. The Door County Art League will once
again make Charlene's their "hang out" beginning in late November, featuring an ongoing series of ever-changing
exhibits and events dedicated to celebrating the talents of a multitude of local artists.
Meanwhile, from September 23 through October 27 we look forward to presenting the works of two distinctive women
who work in assembling collages, stores told in cloth.

The fabric is attached to painted stretched canvas and embellished with
line "drawings" stitched in silk embroidery threads, glass beads, and carved bone buttons.
Michalene (Molly) Groshek
takes a different path to the creation of her free-hanging iconic assemblages. She calls them, "a kind of
visual diary," complete with their own symbolic language. "Collectively they represent my awareness of
the sacredness of my life's struggles and joys," she reveals.

Groshek's works at Gallery Ten will also include a series of "Hand Portraits," honoring the creative
work of special women in her life that have given service unselfishly to others.
You are invited to meet these two artists in person on Saturday,
September 23 from 5 - 7 PM. See their work, enjoy wine, cheese
and stimulating conversation at Gallery Ten in Gills Rock.
