Johanna Gullick will always remember the summer of 2004 when she decided
to paint scenes from the farm where she grew up: "Four years earlier dad sold the farm and moved to town;
he was 84." |
When Cole Porter wrote the lyrics for a silly show tune back in 1938, little did he know that he was creating a
timeless anthem that clearly states the case for the next show at Gallery Ten: "Let me warn you right from
the start That my heart belongs to daddy."
I and my next two featured artists back that theme with our forthcoming exhibit, opening on Saturday, August 19.
Meet Claudia Rohling and Johanna Gullick in person from 5 - 7 PM and see their latest work… on display through
September 22 at Charlene's Gallery Ten.

| We are looking forward to hosting another exciting ArtFest on the gallery
grounds in Gills Rock on Saturday and Sunday, September 2 and 3 from 10 AM - 5 PM each day. |

Over a dozen working artists will gather to display their creations and erect a village of outdoor studio tents.
Each day they will be filled with ongoing activities including continuous demonstrations of raku pottery firing,
jewelry making, painting and woodcarving. Enjoy great food, poetry readings, live music, including an open drum
circle.
